This is also a good time to suggest that if you have no backup system for your computer, you really, really should have one. Most likely, if you sift through the files, you'll find the right one. It's not impossible for the Quicken database to corrupt data to the point of losing it completely, but it's pretty unusual. Hopefully if you work your way through the various data files, you will find the one you were most recently using. Move on to the next data file you found, and try the same steps. Go to Quicken 2007 > Preferences > File Backup and uncheck the box to 'Automatically back up the date file…' and 'Remind me to back up the data file…' - because this feature won't work on Mojave - and then quit Quicken. If it's not recent, then this isn't your most recent data file. #Does timemachineeditor work with mojave windows#When it's done, and your windows re-open, open the account register you use most often (such as your checking account or a credit card account) and look to see when the latest transaction is. It may take a minute or a few minutes, depending on the volume of transactions you have. The way to rebuild the indexes is to press Command-Option-B your Quicken windows will disappear while it shows you progress on re-indexing. ![]() Now, again as John said, what can make things confusing is if the indexes in the Quicken files you open are damaged - which is not too unusual on old Quicken 2007 data files. So you if you can't discern from names or dates which one is the most recent live file you were using, you may need to open them one at a time to see what they contain. As John said above, if you've been opening some of these inadvertently, they will have a recent date, but may actually be older files which you recently opened. That should give you a Finder window with all the Quicken files on your computer. qdfm, let it search, scroll to the bottom of that window and double-click on 'Show all in Finder'. Typically, regular data files and backups end with.qdfm (although some really, really old files don't).Ĭlick on the magnifying glass on the right side of your Mac's top toolbar, enter. You may want to do a search in the Finder for ALL Quicken files on your computer. #Does timemachineeditor work with mojave update#Of course, it would require a lot of work to update it yet again and don't want to waste my time if this is the way it's going to be permanently. Can someone enlighten me as to what happened here? And whether there is anything I can do. But today, more than a month's worth of items are gone. Actually, I lost many items that I had input even before I installed Mojave, which was just a few days ago, in addition to the items input since then and that this loss happened just in the last few because every time I opened Quicken to add items, it had been updated. However, I just discovered that nothing is saved since mid-November-even before I installed Mojave apparently. ![]() I would get messages saying that it would not save 'automatically,' but I was saving manually, not depending on Quicken to save anything. So I have continued to use Quicken 2007, thinking that everything I input was being saved. ![]() #Does timemachineeditor work with mojave 32 bit#I was told that 32 bit applications would still work in Mojave though I would get messages that they would no longer work in future OS updates. ![]()
